Bridging Fashion & Technology

LA Fashion Festival

LAFF is an innovative showcase of fashion, lifestyle and tech blending to create a future of visionary experiences. In its 2018 debut and the second edition in 2019, LA’s connected fashion film festival provided a rare opportunity for consumers to interact with fashion, film, and Virtual and Augmented tech producers while experiencing immersive branding, activations and demos.

What is the role of fashion in the process of questioning one's identity? Personal experiences and storytelling will lead the warm-up to the discussion, before moving into more of an anthropological understanding of fashion as a tool for finding and expressing identity, and the ways we build community around fashion.

Why do we have the need as consumers to go for a more spiritual and sustainable fashion? This panel seeks to understand this new form of consciousness from different perspectives. In a society where fashion is a prominent influence, we will talk to people for whom fashion is more than clothing or commerce, people for whom fashion is a way of contributing to a collective experience of life, and a way to influence what and who we value in our society.
